Property Listing Views

Measures the total number of times a property listing is viewed by users on the platform. This metric helps assess user interest and engagement with specific property listings.

Engagementmetric

Property View Count

The total number of times a property listing is viewed by users on the platform, indicating interest and engagement.

Engagementmetric

Refunds Issued

Count of distinct refund transactions, full or partial, issued to customers in the period by refund date. It counts refunds, not their value, and is the numerator of Refund Rate.

MonetizationmetricE-commerce: Returns, Refunds & Customer Support

Return Processing Time

Average days from a return being initiated to its refund being issued, across returns refunded in the period. It is the customer's refund wait, return transit included.

OperationsmetricE-commerce: Returns, Refunds & Customer Support

Returned Items

Total product units customers return in the period, summed from item quantity on refund events tied to a return (RMA). Counts units, not return requests, and is the numerator of unit return rate.

OperationsmetricE-commerce: Returns, Refunds & Customer Support

Returning Learner Rate

Measures the percentage of distinct active learners in a reporting period who completed at least one qualifying learning activity before that period began. It quantifies the share of current learning engagement generated by previously active learners rather than first-time learners.

Retentionmetric

Reviews Submitted

Count of product reviews customers successfully submit in the reporting period, one per unique review ID. It counts submissions, not reviews that pass moderation and get published.

EngagementmetricE-commerce: Product Discovery & Merchandising (Search/Filters/PDP)

Search Exits

Count of sessions that end on a site search results page, meaning the shopper searched and left without clicking further. It is the numerator of Search Exit Rate.

EngagementmetricE-commerce: Product Discovery & Merchandising (Search/Filters/PDP)

Search Results Views

Counts every load of the search results page (GA4 view_search_results), including pagination, sort, filter and back-button re-views. Site Searches counts submitted queries; this counts results-page exposure.

EngagementmetricE-commerce: Product Discovery & Merchandising (Search/Filters/PDP)

Ship-to-Store Orders

Distinct online orders shipped from a DC to the chosen store for pickup (Fulfillment Method = ship_to_store). Unlike BOPIS Orders, no store stock is used; it is the count behind Ship-to-Store Rate.

OperationsmetricRetail: Omnichannel (BOPIS - Buy Online Pick Up In Store)

Shipment Volume

Shipment Volume is the number of unique customer-order shipments handed to a carrier or confirmed as dispatched in the reporting period, with each split shipment counted separately and duplicate status events removed. It shows how many fulfillment commitments entered the delivery journey, which lets teams size carrier capacity, compare shipments against orders placed and track on-time and split-shipment performance.

OperationsmetricE-commerce: Post-Purchase Logistics & FulfillmentLogistics & Supply Chain

Shipping Info Added

Counts the checkout interactions in which a shopper submitted a shipping address or selected a delivery option, incrementing once for every qualifying add_shipping_info occurrence. It isolates the fulfillment-selection step of the checkout funnel and supplies the step-level volume used to measure drop-off between checkout start and payment entry.

Site Searches

Site Searches counts the internal search queries shoppers submit on the storefront, recorded through the unified search event with the query string and the number of results returned. Pagination, sort and filter reloads of the same query are excluded, which makes it the reliable volume base for Zero-Results Search Rate, Search-to-Purchase Conversion Rate and search-led merchandising decisions.

EngagementmetricE-commerce: Product Discovery & Merchandising (Search/Filters/PDP)

Store Inventory Checks

Counts the lookups in which a shopper requested real-time availability of a specific item (SKU and variant) at a specific store, recorded through the unified view_item event with view_context = 'store_availability' and a populated store_id, once per SKU × store × session. It sizes the local-inventory demand that feeds Buy Online, Pick Up In Store, and when read against the Store Inventory Status returned it shows how often shoppers look for local stock and find none.

EngagementmetricRetail: Omnichannel (BOPIS - Buy Online Pick Up In Store)

Store Locator Searches

Counts the store locator queries shoppers submit to find a physical store (by postal code, city, address or device location), recorded through the unified search event scoped to search_type = 'store_locator' and counted once per qualifying submission. It measures local-intent demand at the top of the pickup and store-visit journey and supplies the volume base for store-selection, pickup-order and store-visit conversion analysis by market, device and entry point.

EngagementmetricRetail: Omnichannel (BOPIS - Buy Online Pick Up In Store)

Store Selections

Counts the times a shopper explicitly chooses a pickup or preferred store, recorded on the store selection event with a store_id. It is the store-choice step of the pickup funnel, ahead of BOPIS orders.

ConversionmetricRetail: Omnichannel (BOPIS - Buy Online Pick Up In Store)

Subscription Renewal Rate

Subscription Renewal Rate is the percentage of paid subscription terms due for renewal in a period that were successfully charged for the next billing term, including renewals recovered within the payment grace (dunning) window. It is the leading retention signal for subscription commerce (replenishment, subscribe-and-save and paid membership programmes): a decline isolates voluntary cancellations or failed payments before they surface as lost recurring revenue.

Tax Amount

Sum of the tax value carried on completed purchases in the reporting window, in reporting currency. Kept apart from revenue so AOV and GMV stay tax-exclusive; refunded tax is not netted here.

Time on Property Page

Real estate application of GA4's average engagement time concept: the average foreground engagement time, in seconds, per property listing detail page view, computed as total engaged time per listing detail page view, capped at 30 minutes per view and converted to seconds, divided by the number of listing detail page views. It shows how thoroughly prospective buyers and renters read a listing (photos, floor plans, price history, neighbourhood data) and is the primary depth-of-interest signal that sits between listing views and inquiry or tour requests.

Time to First Purchase

E-commerce specialisation of the canonical metric Time to First Value: the elapsed time per registered customer between account creation (sign_up) and that customer's first completed purchase, reported as the median and mean in hours or days for a sign-up cohort. It measures how quickly a new account turns into revenue, and it only covers customers who have both a sign-up and a completed order, so guest checkouts without an account are left out by design.

Time to First Value

Elapsed time between an account's sign-up and the first completion of the product's defining value action, such as the first report generated, first integration connected or first workflow published. It is the core building block for activation KPIs and shows how quickly onboarding turns a new account into a working one.

Unique Searchers

De-duplicated count of distinct users who ran at least one site search in the reporting window. Each user counts once however many searches they run; it is the numerator of Site Search Usage Rate.

EngagementmetricE-commerce: Product Discovery & Merchandising (Search/Filters/PDP)

Unique Visitors

Unique Visitors is the de-duplicated count of distinct people who generated at least one qualifying hit on the web or app storefront within the selected date range. Each person is counted once, by customer login ID when available and otherwise by a persistent browser or app-instance ID, aligned with Total Users in GA4 and Unique Visitors in Adobe Analytics. It is the reach denominator for visitor-based conversion and revenue KPIs, and because it is a distinct count it must be recalculated for every date range, channel or segment rather than summed from smaller slices.

Units Sold

Units Sold is the total quantity of items purchased across completed transactions in the period, summing the item-level quantity carried on every purchase. Because it measures volume rather than value, it isolates demand from price, discount and order-size effects, which makes it the reference base for sell-through, replenishment planning and per-unit economics.
