Page Type
Categorises a page or screen into a standardized content or functional type based on its purpose in the user journey, such as home, category, product detail, article, search results, cart, checkout, account, or support. This dimension enables consistent analysis of engagement, conversion, and navigation performance across templates and experiences.
Business Use Case
A content strategy team filters engagement and conversion reports by Sub Section 1 to compare how Blog, Documentation, Pricing, and Support subsections contribute to lead generation, product adoption, or revenue. An e-commerce team uses it to compare performance of Men, Women, Kids, and Sale subsections within a broader catalog section.

1️⃣ Populate values during page_view, screen_view, and key content interactions. 2️⃣ Prefer CMS-driven taxonomy over URL parsing for consistency. 3️⃣ Standardise casing and naming conventions to prevent duplicates. 4️⃣ Refresh dimensions on virtual page changes in SPA frameworks. 5️⃣ Use an eVar with appropriate expiration settings in Adobe. 6️⃣ Avoid sending free-form values from user input. 7️⃣ Define a fallback value like '(not set)' when taxonomy is unavailable.
